The music of Death to Anders is of two worlds. Its indie folk-inspired song craft evokes a place austerely beautiful, almost pastoral, while its jagged, surprising arrangements reflect one entirely more sinister, one full of concrete, noise, and of dreams dashed against an underpass. In this duality, the music of Death to Anders is in perfect harmony with Los Angeles, the city from which it sprang forth. Combined with beautifully dark harmonies and cryptic lyrics, the music of Death to Anders bring forth a "modern twist" to the early 90's indie rock sound, inspired by the likes of Pavement, Sonic Youth, Grandaddy, and the Pixies.
